'I started working for ICD in March 2017, so I’ve been here since the early days. I’m responsible for all aspects of administration, from organising contracts and logging delivery notes to arranging transport and completing customer paperwork.'

'A lot of businesses get really nervous when it comes to importing and exporting and avoid dipping their toes in the water, but like anything, it’s really just a learning curve. Once you know what you’re doing it’s about being accurate in your paperwork - everything needs to be double and triple checked. It does help that I have plenty of previous experience in this kind of role, and I’ve also completed my Institute of Export qualifications.'
'I’m responsible for the day-to-day running of the office – right down to the little (but important) things like making sure there’s enough pens and paper! I also get involved in interviewing new staff. I juggle a lot of balls but I thrive on that!
The hardest thing about the job is ensuring accuracy – if there’s a mistake it can have serious repercussions down the line. If we make any mistakes on the documents this could go through our system right to the customer’s furnace. That’s how serious it can be, so we have to get it right every time.'
